Tamica Hughes is a 1995 graduate from Lucy Ragsdale High School. When she graduated, she was a single teen mom, but she was determined to graduate high school.
Through the help that she received from Youth Focus, she was able to graduate and attend cosmetology school. She’s been a licensed Cosmetologist since 1997.
She knows the first-hand struggles that teen moms often face while trying to parent and finish school. The Nonprofit, Level Up Parenting, was started in order to transform the mindset of teen moms by instilling in them enrichment opportunities that teach them how to excel at parenting and much more.

Anyua Clark is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina where she graduated from Ben L. Smith High School in 1998. She graduated with honors from North Carolina A&T State University in 2002 and has been a high school educator for eighteen years, where she most enjoys positively impacting the lives of teenagers and finding ways to learn from them.
Anyua has been married to her best friend, Jeffrey Clark, Sr., for 15 years and is the proud mother of two children, 14 and 12. The Clark family has spent years giving back to the community and bringing awareness to a rare blood disorder, Neutropenia, that her daughter was diagnosed with at the age of two.
Anyua reaches the community as a member of New Birth Community AME Church where she is active in the Missionary Society and the Campus Bridge Connectors. As well as through Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Anyua and her younger brother were raised by a single mother and understand firsthand, the importance of community involvement in the lives of families that lack resources to survive. She is grateful for her humble beginnings and experiences that have influenced the mother, teacher, and mentor that she is to young people in her life and community.
